Showered with Pink and Green

December 4, 2009

Planning a shower for a bride-to-be?  Pink and green decor is essential.  Just touches here and there – it doesn’t have to be pink and green from floor to ceiling.

This table setup found at Project Wedding is perfect for indoors or out.  It’s so simple and chic!  You can use any pink flowers, but it may be neat to personalize it with the bride’s favorties.

Don’t forget the drinks!  Serving a signature drink is a fun way to incorporate color.  The above pictures are from a bridal shower pictured at Elizabeth Anne Designs.

Creative Pink and Green Wedding Details

November 16, 2009

Wedding planning can be overwhelming at times, especially in the beginning stages.   You may find inspiration from one of these photos below…you may decide to focus on centerpieces or maybe you’d like to put some thought into hanging lanterns or lights.  Whatever you choose, it may be fun to find a detail that you can somehow use throughout your wedding ceremony and or reception.

I absolutely love the way that these centerpieces look!  These wooden vases are filled with green pebbles and topped off with a gerbera daisy – so simple and chic.

A bride and groom had t-shirts made for their brial party, which were neaty wrapped up and placed on the tables where they sat at the reception.  Very cute!

These are some fun details that may leave a lasting impression on your guests!

Ceremony Details

November 9, 2009

There are so many neat ways to add a touch of style to your ceremony while using pink and green.  Flowers allow for a multitude of decor items – flower petals can softly fill the aisle, or try a pattern like the one pictured below.  I love the idea of using flowers to create a ring bearer pillow.  If you are having pedestals or a huppah of some sort, you can drape them with crystals, ribbons, flowers..the possibilties are endless!

Keep it Light (Pink)

November 4, 2009

There are so many different shades of pink, not to mention all colors, so what makes you choose which shade??  Everyone has their own preference, and if yours happens to be a paler pink, you must look below!  Pale pink goes nicely next to a pale green, white, or cream.  It’s such a danity color and it adds a bit of class to the overall look.

Above and below photos f rom Martha Stewart Weddings. This site has great inspirtation photo galleries by color.

It was so hard not to fill this page with all flowers!  There are so many precious light pink flowers that can be used in bouquets and centerpieces – peonies and mums are pictured in the top; sweet peas and dahlias are in the second row.  Love these photos from The Knot.

A Rose Bouquet

October 26, 2009

I wanted to do a post on roses because when I was first thinking of flowers for bouquets, I never envisioned roses.  But after browsing through hundreds of photos, I realized that this classic flower was the perfect pick for my bridesmaids bouquets.  Roses come in so many different colors; the possibilites are nearly endless.  Using green flowers to accent the roses really make the rose colors pop!
